Alison Walker Educational Psychologist
About
I am an HCPC registered, experienced educational psychologist who previously worked closely with schools and settings as a Local Authority employee. It is important to me that children and young people have access to high-quality psychology services that help to identify their strengths and barriers in order to best support their development and wellbeing. I currently work as a specialist neurodevelopmental practitioner, predominantly facilitating neurodevelopmental assessments for autism and ADHD. My training is rooted in reducing barriers to learning though consultation, assessment (including cognitive assessment), individual work, and training, to promote the application of psychological knowledge and evidence-based practice, with the aim of ensuring better outcomes for children and young people. I feel passionately about increasing the support and access to intervention available post-diagnosis and identifying provision to help those who come for assessment to live their best lives.
