About this role
This is an exciting and valuable role within a busy service, providing invaluable assessments to families.
This is a hybrid role located in Dublin for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist working within a Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team. Some aspects of the role may be undertaken remotely, however, face to face assessments at our premises in Swords is a central feature of the role.

What you'd be doing
The role requires conducting comprehensive specialist assessments within the Assessment of Need pathway including diagnostic assessments of individuals with suspected Neurodevelopmental conditions including Autism, Speech and Language assessments and learning disability assessments using established diagnostic tools. Assessments are undertaken on behalf of the HSE.
Some aspects of the role may be undertaken remotely.
The clinician is also responsible for writing up assessment reports in a timely and professional manner, as well as providing appropriate recommendations and interventions. Additionally, the clinician may be involved in supervising and supporting junior staff members depending on experience.

Qualifications
- BSc in Speech and Language Therapy or an equivalent CORU registered Speech and Language Therapy qualification
- • Must be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland
- Experience in conducting diagnostic Neurodevelopmental/ Specialist developmental assessments with children
- CORU registered- current
- Experience working with children and adults with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for Autism, ADHD and learning disability
- ADOS-2/ ADI-R trained
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in report writing and record keeping
- Additional qualifications in relevant area
