About this role
We are excited to announce we are now opening up a new clinic in Gosforth. This is an exciting and valuable full-time role for a team manager within a busy service, providing invaluable assessments to families and adults. This is a hybrid role located in Gosforth for a suitably qualified clinician working as a team manager within the Evolve Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team for adults and Children referred for Autism and/ or ADHD assessments via NHS Patient choice and their GP.

What you'd be doing
The role involves managing a multidisciplinary team comprising of psychology professionals, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, paediatricians, and assistant psychologists. It also includes being part of the management team responsible for overseeing comprehensive specialist assessments, including diagnostic evaluations for individuals with suspected Autism and/or ADHD using established diagnostic tools. These assessments are conducted on behalf of the NHS through Right to Choose. Key responsibilities include managing the multidisciplinary team, acting as a point of contact for all matters related to the daily operations of the local service, and ensuring familiarity with all assessment resources and components to guide other clinicians effectively. The role also involves monitoring contract mobilisation and service delivery, overseeing the local implementation of company strategy, and tracking contract and local key performance indicators (KPIs).
Clinical governance is a crucial aspect, requiring an overview of all current assessment cases to ensure clear leadership, structured plans, and efficient case management. Additionally, the role includes problem-solving issues within the clinic, such as clinician absences and case reallocation, as well as supporting newer team members in their transition, skill development, and overall integration. Identifying and addressing clinic process inefficiencies, developing new resources, and collaborating with senior leadership to implement improvements are also key responsibilities. The role further entails escalating and resolving issues with senior leadership, attending company events and management meetings, and identifying training needs for teams and individuals, signposting these to senior leadership for further discussion and action.
Qualifications
- HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist or
- NMC registered nurse or
- Neurodevelopmental practitioner experience with specialist training as below
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
- Experience in conducting diagnostic Neurodevelopmental/ Specialist developmental assessments with children and/ or adults
- Experience working with children and/ or adults with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for Autism and ADHD
- Knowledge of differential diagnosis
- ADOS-2/ ADI-R trained
- Ideally QB Trained
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience of team and service management
