About this role
This role as Clinical Lead for Adults is a senior clinical position central to driving excellence in adult autism assessment services at Evolve Psychology Services. It offers a unique leadership opportunity to influence the quality and consistency of neurodevelopmental diagnostics, supporting both patients and clinicians. The Clinical Lead will play a vital role in shaping service delivery, fostering clinical best practices, and championing continuous improvement within a multidisciplinary team. This position is ideal for a highly skilled clinician eager to take on strategic responsibility, support professional development across the team, and contribute to enhancing outcomes for adults undergoing autism assessments across the UK.

What you'd be doing
As the Clinical Lead for Adults, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of adult autism assessments, ensuring high standards of diagnostic accuracy and person-centred care. You will conduct and supervise complex assessments using recognised tools, write detailed diagnostic reports with tailored recommendations, and provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior clinicians. You will lead multidisciplinary team meetings, monitor caseloads and clinical progress, and work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities for service development and training. Additionally, you will uphold clinical governance standards, ensure compliance with NICE guidelines, and support the operational planning of the service to maintain efficient, high-quality care.
Qualifications
- HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist or
- NMC registered nurse or
- Neurodevelopmental practitioner experience with specialist training as below
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
- Experience in conducting diagnostic Neurodevelopmental/ Specialist developmental assessments with children and/ or adults
- Experience working with children and/ or adults with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for Autism and ADHD
- Knowledge of differential diagnosis
- ADOS-2/ ADI-R trained
- Ideally QB Trained
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in report writing and record keeping
- Additional qualifications in relevant areas of Autism (and ADHD)
